About

Nancy (She/They) is a set and costume designer for performance based in Windsor, ON. She loves working on new and collaborative pieces, especially if they examine our changing cultural norms. Professionally she has worked with companies such as Guild Theatre Festival, Festival Antigonish, Food for Thought Productions, Howland Company, Driftwood Theatre, Hart House Theatre, Magnus Theatre, the City of Montreal and as part of the Summerworks Theatre Festival. She is a founding member and designer for the Superior Theatre Festival, bringing new and community based performance to Thunder Bay. Nancy also enjoys building the next generation of theatre practitioners through her teaching and design work with Mount Allison University, University of Windsor and X (Ryerson) University. Her experience also includes work as an Assistant Designer for 4 seasons at the Stratford Festival.

Awards include a Dora Nomination for Outstanding Costume Design, the Ian and Molly Lindsay Young Design Fellowship, the Tom Patterson Guthrie Award, and the Peter Dwyer Scholarship.

She is a member of the Associated Designers of Canada and the current Resident Scenic Artist/Designer for the University of Windsor’s School of Dramatic Art.
